Podcasts and audiobooks are very different beasts, but the Audiyence architecture knows exactly how to handle them.
The audio master file repository in the back-end supports chapterised audiobooks with table of content metadata, as well as all the other audiobook related metadata. The podcast section is based on podcast shows with auto-updated podcast episodes and can have manually added category metadata as well.
The search page in the Audiyence white label apps returns both audiobooks and podcast shows and episodes, depending on the search query and metadata. Keyword, title and author searches return both audiobooks and podcasts (shows and episodes) automatically.
In the apps you can create combined audiobook and podcast categories (e.g. based on subject) as well as separate audiobook and podcast categories.
The Favorite and Bookshelf pages in the app have separate sections for audiobooks and podcast.
